Murder on the Aerial Express

YA Mystery. Romance. Steampunk. Agatha Christie.
Murder on the Orient Express gets a fantasy makeover, a little romance, and a grumpy teen heroine.
Meet Lady Isabella Huxley. All she wants to do is hang out with her best friend and concoct wild alchemical experiments. But when she takes a trip aboard the Aerial Express dirigible, someone murders the airship's owner on the first night of the voyage.

Isabella has no interest in solving a mystery, but what's a girl to do? As the killer goes to increasing lengths to protect his secrets, she must deal with dangerous villains and charming scoundrels — including a boy determined to soften her hard heart.

What Is a Novel/Newsletter?
It's a combination of the old and the new — Charles Dickens meets the creator economy. Literature meets scrollytelling, flipbooks, and AI art. (For more information regarding my use of generative AI, read my policy.)
The novel is free. Each week, subscribers will receive the next chapter in the adventure. Plus you'll get to sample the enhanced digital reading experience.
What Is a Digital Reading Experience?
Don't get me wrong! I love nothing more than losing myself in a good book, devouring it in a single sitting. But I also believe in always having a book on hand, and I hate reading most books on my phone.

That's why I'm experimenting with a different format. I've designed this book to be consumed in multiple ways. You can read just the text or scroll through illustrated chapters with interactive elements designed for all devices.

Do I intend to write all my books this way? No. (In fact, I'm also working on a more traditional historical mystery series.)
This project isn't intended to replace ye olde books (heaven forbid!). Instead, it's an experiment in novel storytelling that preserves the novel (instead of replacing it with an online, interactive story) but supplements it with visual and interactive elements.
